System Design
Engineering & Design
Consultation
The first stage of any successful project is discussion. Thus the beginning of any design involves the customer meeting with our experienced technical team and their account manager to clearly define their needs. During this stage we will be looking at things that impact on the system including:
| • Site limitations |
• User & system operational environment |
| • Desired system features |
• And critically, budget |
| • Number of radio users |
|
Design
After a thorough assessment of your needs and defining the boundaries of the project, our engineering team will design a system solution that meets the set criteria. Using internationally recognised RF protocols the solution may encompass:
| • Smartnet |
• TETRA |
| • LTR |
• P25 |
| • MPT1327 |
• MotoTrbo |
| • Conventional |

Building
All systems are built at our engineering workshop in Melbourne, under the watchful eye of our National Engineering Manager. All work is undertaken to high standards guided by our ISO9001:2000 Quality Assured system.
All components selected for use in our systems are chosen for their quality and reliability. We are particularly proud of the high quality of our craftsmanship and the reliability of the work we undertake.
Testing
A critical step in the process is factory acceptance testing of the finished system. During this phase we always encourage the customer to attend our workshop and “accept” the system. All systems are subjected to rigorous testing to ensure their reliability under operational conditions.
Installation
The installation phase can be simple or complicated, depending on the physical site and system requirements. It usually includes installation of cabling, power and antenna systems prior to the installation of a rack or cabinet mounted system.
We have extensive experience in ensuring the installation phase is as seamless and least disruptive to the customer’s organisation.
Commissioning
Once installed the system undergoes a second round of testing onsite, to ensure it is performing to the initial design.
Integration
In some cases the system may also need to be integrated into existing infrastructure and/or additional equipment, such as alarms and monitoring systems.
Training
To ensure you fully understand and use the system correctly, training is conducted by our engineering team, or the Account Manager. Training is tailored to the customer’s budget and organisational needs, ranging from informal demonstration to comprehensive training tools and multiple user training sessions. The customer may choose to have both “user” training and “technical” training for those responsible for managing the system.
Documentation
An important part of the project is accurate documentation of all the components of the system, providing user and maintenance information to allow the customer to better manage their valuable investment. We are proud of the high quality delete system documentation provided.
After-sales support & maintenance
After-sales support is provided for all systems sold. We will also recommend a more comprehensive annual maintenance contract for organizations where their radio communications are critical to their ongoing operations.
- Consultative & comprehensive design process
- Comprehensive after-sales support
