TR Bearcom are delighted to support Motorola's Green Scheme.
Motorola is determined to reduce our environmental footprint. This is both good for the environment and good for our business.
We aim to design our products to use less energy, to contain environmentally preferred materials and to be highly recyclable. Our global take-back programmes collect electronic equipment for reuse and recycling.
The Green Scheme is just one of numerous Motorola environmental initiatives. It has been designed to encourage the responsible collection, recycling and safe disposal of batteries to ensure hazardous material does not harm the environment or human health.
|
The Green Scheme programme offers both a financial incentive in addition to the obvious environmental benefits to customers in Australia and New Zealand.
When you return ten old Motorola batteries and buy ten new Motorola Genuine Batteries at the same time, you will get an eleventh battery FREE!
What happens to returned batteries? In Australia and New Zealand batteies are sent back to Motorola via our ECOMOTO Takeback collection process which insures proper management of end-of-life products. The batteries are then shipped to our accredited recycling facility where the process is fully audited to ensure recycling standards are met.
|
Batteries basically undergo two processes:
Materials are reused and recycled: Many of the materials that make up batteries are separated and recycled for the construction of many other items.
Disposal of hazardous materials: The hazardous materials are extracted from the battery and disposed of safely in accordance with strict regulations and standards.
